Nasi Kaldu Sapi a.k.a Beef Stock Rice |
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of glass or 250 gram white rice. Rinse well
- 100 gram of minced beef
- a half or one carrot
- a handful of any kind of mushroom
- a handful of sweet corn
- a half of onion
- a clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of beef stock/broth powder
- 1.5 or 2 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1/5 handful of minced leek or onion leaves.
- 1/5 handful of fried/roasted cashews nut
How to cook
- Minced the onion and garlic... cut the carrot into a little chunks
- Put the oil into the pan fry.... then the onion and garlic.... when it smell good, then put the carrot and corn. Stir fry about a couple minute.... the put the beef and mushroom. Stir fry again until the beef cook well.
- Put the rice and the water. Put salt, pepper and broth powder. Then boil it until the water seeped into the rice.
Remember you must know the comparison of the size between the water and the rice. The easy way is just put your middle finger knuckle. The water size is just until the first line of it. Because if you put to much water... then it will be a porridge. In Indonesian way... we call it "Beras Karon"
- Then steam the rice until it cook well.
- Then serve it with minced leek and cashews nut on the top of it
